Waterloo Road Wiki is a fan-made website whose aim it is to to provide its visitors with detailed information on all the different aspects of BBC's Waterloo Road including episodes, characters, locations actors, etc. This wiki is fan-made which means that visitors can, and are encouraged, to join in and add any information about the series that they know.
Waterloo Road
Waterloo Road is a British television series created by Ann McManus and Maureen Chadwick. The series premiered on March 9, 2006 on the BBC HD and currently airs on BBC One HD. The long-running series is currently airing its eighth series which began airing on August 23, 2012.
The series chronicled the lives of the staff and pupils of Waterloo Road Comprehensive School after Headmaster Brian Vasey has a nervous breakdown and Deputy Head Jack Rimmer is appointed Headmaster. During the first series the school faces closure by the governors owing to failing pupil numbers, bad publicity and bad pupil behavior and the aftermath of the devastating car accident that killed Adam Deardon and put Holly Tattersall in a deep coma. Another focal point of the series is Tom Clarkson failed marriage with Lorna and relationship with Izzie. The second series reveals that Lorna had tried to kill herself because of her marriage falling apart and later succeeds when she learns that she has multiple sclerosis and the death of Izzie when she intervines in a fight between Jack and Jed Seddon. The third series saw many changes for Waterloo Road with Jack resigning and being replaced by Rachel Mason and a fire spreading through the school that trapped Rachel and Stuart Hordley under falling dubree. The fourth series saw Chlo Grainger giving birth to her daughter, Izzy, and the death of Maxine Barlow at the hands of her psychotic boyfriend Earl Kelly.
Throughout the seven series of Waterloo Road that have aired, audiences have been shocked and astounded by the mature content of the series and the acurrate portrayal of teachers and pupils lives as they struggle to make it by and affect the lives of those around them.
